Girlguiding Group Initiative a Success

During the October half term we had the Worcestershire County Girlguiding group from the Redditch division join us for a day of multi-skills and football.  These sessions are part of a longer-term initiative by both organisations to facilitate more opportunities for girls to play sports and be physically active.

Community delivery officer, Baz Singh Shekhon said “We are delighted to be working alongside the Girlguiding group to offer girls the opportunity to enjoy participating in football within a safe and inclusive environment.  The group were brilliant and really engaged with the activities and games we delivered.  We are all about delivering inspiring experiences and looking forward to creating more opportunities and work alongside community groups within Redditch”.

Redditch Division Commissioners, Hannah Young & Gemma Bretherton said We had a fantastic day at Redditch Utd learning football skills and we even managed a game! The girls thoroughly enjoyed it and Baz really brought the day together. Thank you for having us!”

Redditch United in the Community CIC are currently running sessions for girls aged 5 – 12 years of age every Monday from 5-6pm, £4 per session at Redditch United football club, for further information email or simply turn up on the day.
