GK Union Expands

We can confirm the double signing of Ben Taylor and Jack Price, both goalkeepers.

The goalkeeping union at Redditch United grows with the additions of Ben Taylor from Banbury and the dual registration of young ‘keeper Jack Price from Dudley Sports.

Ben Taylor may be a name you recognise as he played multiple times for us last season in the county cup when Adam Harrison was cup-tied. Taylor has shared the minutes with Harrison in pre-season and has shown his excellent shot-stopping ability.

Taylor was a youth player at MK Dons and Cambridge United before moving on to North Leigh, Gloucester City and Oxford City. He also had a spell playing in the US.

Matt Clarke had this to say; “Ben played over 20 games for Banbury when they won the league in the 2021/22 season and played in the county cup for us last season. As well as Adam Harrison has done, we’ve never had genuine competition for the starting goalkeeper position and this addition will bring exactly that.”

Welcome to The Reds, Ben & Jack.

Jack Price is dual registered from Dudley Sports and will continue to play there whilst providing extra cover at Redditch United. Scott Cashmore is much the same and is dual registered to Wolverhampton Casuals.
