Redditch United Join Forces with West Mercia Police to Offer Free Football Sessions

We’re delighted to announce we’ve been awarded a grant in partnership with West Mercia Police that will enable us to offer completely free footballing sessions for boys and girls aged 13-17 who live within the B98 and B97 area.

This Social Inclusion Project will enable us to continue our extensive community work in the local area and continue to offer opportunities for those in deprived areas. Football is for everyone, and should be accessible for all.

The sessions –

Starting from Friday 15th September

Term time only

Every Friday 4-5pm

Redditch United 3G, The Valley Stadium, B97 4AU

Redditch United Academy Manager, Josh Wright, commented; “We are pleased to be offering these free sessions to teenagers in the local area to come and play football in the town’s largest football facility. It will be a safe place for teenagers to test their skills against other local Boys and Girls, West Mercia Police will be present at most of the sessions too. We provide so much for younger ages across the Club and we are now keen to increase what we offer for 13-17 year olds. I have seen the success of these projects at a former Club in North Solihull and keen to see it develop in the town of Redditch.”
